This place was baptized in memory of the battle of Trocadéro which took place on August 31, 1823, during which a French expeditionary force took from the hands of the Spanish liberal revolutionaries Fort Louis. They defended the port of Cadiz in Spain, and restored the authority of King Ferdinand VII.
The Trocadéro fountain or Warsaw fountain is a fountain located in the Trocadéro gardens, below the Palais de Chaillot. The Champ-de-Mars
The Champ-de-Mars is a vast, fully open public garden. It is located in Paris in the Gros-Caillou district of the 7th arrondissement, between the Eiffel Tower to the northwest and the Military School to the southeast. Covering an area of 24.3 ha, the Champ-de-Mars Garden is one of the largest green spaces in Paris. Its name comes from the Roman Champ de Mars (and therefore from the Roman god of war, Mars, echoing the neighboring Military School). “Champ de Mars” originally designated, in a city, a vast space dedicated to military maneuvers and parades. This is why a field of Mars was found in many garrison towns.

The Army Museum private tour :
A prominent sight in the Eiffel Tower landscape appears thanks to its famous gilded Dome. The Hôtel National des Invalides is an exceptional monument. Visitors can explore the history of France there. The Musée de l’Armée’s collections and the Tomb of Napoleon I in particular are fabulous.
In the 17th century, Louis XIV was the head of Europe’s greatest army. Aware that soldiers were the primary guardians of France’s greatness, the Sun King decided to erect a building for those who had served the royal army. The Cité des Invalides first opened to veterans in 1674. At once a hospice, barracks, convent, hospital and factory, the Hôtel was a veritable city, governed by a military and religious system. Over 4,000 boarders lived within the site’s walls.
Today, the Hôtel still fulfils its initial function by housing the Institution Nationale des Invalides. At the heart of the Hotel, the Soldiers’ Church is accessible as an extension of the main courtyard. Called Saint-Louis Cathedral since 1986, the date of the installation of the diocese to the armies at Les Invalides, it is thus the second cathedral in Paris with Notre-Dame.
On the south side, the majestic Dome Church, completed in 1706, is the work of Jules Hardouin-Mansart, who is also the architect of the Hall of Mirrors in Versailles. Before the construction of the Eiffel Tower, the Dome, at 107 meters high, was the tallest building in Paris.
Rodin Museum private tour :
In 1916, a year before his death, Auguste Rodin (1840-1917) donated all of his work and property to the French State. In return, the State purchased the Hôtel Biron and undertook to transform it into a museum dedicated to the artist. The Paris site opened to the public in 1919, the Meudon site in 1948. This donation is the founding act of the Rodin Museum. It is forever preserving the alchemy between an exceptional place in the heart of one of the most beautiful gardens in Paris and the creations of the most prestigious sculptor of the time.
By bequeathing his property and works, the artist also bequeathed his copyright. Thanks to the collection of molds, the edition of original bronzes allowed the dissemination of the artist’s work.
The Rodin Museum is also the custodian of the artist’s moral rights: it upholds the right to paternity and the right to respect for the integrity of the work.
“I give to the State all my work in plaster, marble, bronze, stone, and my drawings as well as the collection of antiques that I was happy to gather for the learning and education of artists and workers – I ask the State to keep all its collections in the Hôtel Biron which will be the Rodin Museum, reserving for me to reside there all my life.” Auguste Rodin, 1909
