Custom Paris Itinerary from a Paris Trip Planner – Paris by Emy

When planning a trip to Paris, turning your wish list into a focused shortlist is essential for creating a realistic and enjoyable itinerary. Your wish list may include everything you dream of seeing and doing, but a well-planned shortlist helps you make the most of your time without feeling rushed or overwhelmed.

We Categorize Your Paris Wish List into Must-Dos

You cannot see all of Paris in one trip but you can experience the city at the right pace.

We Prioritize Based on Your Interests and Budget

  • Choose activities that align with your passions, whether art, history, or food.
  • Consider must-do, must-visit vs. nice-to-have attractions.
  • Select options and services upon your preferences, driver, restaurant.
  • Have a budget in mind for museums, private tours, dining and shopping.

By refining your wish list into a carefully structured shortlist, you can explore Paris at a comfortable pace, leave room for spontaneous discoveries, and enjoy a more seamless and stress-free trip.

A comfortable Paris experience with well-located accommodation, selected private experiences, restaurants and transportation.

Paris by Emy delivers your custom itinerary in a practical, user-friendly format, combining local expertise with personalized recommendations.

Personalized Paris Itineraries for Slow Travel

An itinerary packed with tones of attractions a day may look great, but it can leave you spending your vacation rushing, checking the clock and waiting in lines.

Paris by Emy focuses on:

  • Respecting your spending orientations
  • A realistic and enjoyable pace
  • Logical routing around Paris
  • Time to explore and enjoy each place
  • A thoughtful balance of sightseeing and relaxation
  • Experiences that genuinely suit your trip
  • Quality rather than quantity

No cookie-cutter itinerary. No forced schedule. No trying to check every Paris landmark off a list. Just a well-planned trip designed around you.

Why We don’t Overload Your Custom Paris Itinerary

Unlike many agencies that prioritize volume over quality, Paris by Emy focuses on creating a balanced and enjoyable experience, with recommendations tailored to your profile and budget, never driven by commissions or preset packages.

  • No rushed schedules packed with too many activities
  • No unnecessary tours added just to increase costs
  • No generic, one-size-fits-all programs and forced sales
  • Carefully selected experiences with time to enjoy each moment
  • A thoughtful pace that lets you truly connect with Paris

Instead of trying to “see it all,” Paris by Emy helps you experience Paris in a more meaningful, authentic, and relaxed way, focusing on quality, local insight, and moments you’ll actually remember.

  • A checklist-style tour that rushes from one landmark to another
  • Little to no time to truly enjoy or explore each location
  • Fixed routes with no flexibility or personalization
  • Overpriced packages often driven by commissions
  • A superficial experience that misses the real Paris

3, 4 or 5 Days in Paris? Start With Your Priorities

There is no single perfect Paris itinerary. A first-time visitor may want the Eiffel Tower, Louvre, Notre-Dame and Versailles. Another traveler may prefer Impressionist art, historic neighborhoods, French cuisine, art museums and hidden gems. A returning visitor may want to go beyond the classics and discover a different side of Paris.

Your itinerary should reflect your Paris, not someone else’s checklist.

Primary Sources for a Custom Paris Itinerary

Google, AI & Social Media are useful for Inspiration, but not a substitute for local knowledge. Ultimately, the best custom Paris itinerary starts with you: your passions, your curiosity, your pace, and the experiences you want to remember. Every custom Paris itinerary is built from a combination of official sources, trusted local partners, and my expertise of Paris as a licensed guide and Travel Planner since 2018.

AI & Google

Google and AI can help you build a wish list. They can tell you what is popular, where a museum is located or what attractions are generally recommended. But they cannot replace first-hand knowledge of Paris. They may not know that a seemingly short journey can take much longer at a particular time of day, that an attraction’s current visiting rules have changed, or that a restaurant that looks excellent online isn’t necessarily the right choice for your particular trip. AI may also overload an itinerary with too many activities, without taking into account the human need for breaks after a long visit, time to sit and enjoy a coffee, or simply to wander and discover hidden gems along the way. A great Paris itinerary should leave room for breathing space, spontaneous discoveries and unplanned moments, rather than turning every hour into another scheduled activity. A custom itinerary requires more than information. It requires judgment.

While AI tools and Google Search can offer helpful suggestions for your travel plans, they should not define your journey. In addition, users can be directed toward very touristy places that rely on aggressive SEO and SEA (Google Ads) strategies, which are designed more to trigger compulsive purchases than to provide genuine value.

AI can also make factual mistakes. For example, it might tell someone visiting Versailles that they need to take a train to reach the Trianon estate, when in reality the Trianon is just a short walk—around 15 minutes—from the main palaces. These seemingly small inaccuracies can have a real impact on your day, adding unnecessary travel, wasting time and making your itinerary less efficient. This is why first-hand local knowledge and professional judgment remain essential when planning a truly personalized Paris experience.

More importantly, AI does not experience Paris as a human being does. It does not understand emotions, social life, cultural nuances, atmosphere or the subtle differences between what looks good on paper and what actually feels right when you are there. It cannot truly sense when a neighborhood is lively, when a place feels uncomfortable or overcrowded, or when a particular experience simply does not fit the mood you are looking for. This becomes even more important when circumstances change unexpectedly. A protest, heatwave, transport disruption, strike, major event or other local incident can completely change how a day in Paris should be organized. A local professional who knows the city can adapt in real time, understand the context and suggest practical alternatives. AI can provide information; it cannot replace human judgment, local experience and the ability to adapt to the reality of Paris.

Social Media

Social platforms can offer quick and accessible insights, but they aren’t always reliable. The business model behind them often revolves around views, clicks, and impulsive purchases. Be cautious with recommendations on TikTok, Instagram…—boutiques, restaurants, and hotels may look appealing but are often heavily backed by advertising budgets designed to promote appearances rather than authenticity.

Blogs and Online Articles

Similar to social media, many blog posts and online articles are influenced by paid partnerships or sponsorships. Some website owners have contractual agreements to promote certain businesses—restaurants, shops, hotels—and often highlight mainstream attractions like Notre-Dame or the Louvre simply to drive traffic and generate income.

Travel Books and Magazines

Printed travel guides and magazines tend to be more trustworthy and less influenced by advertising. These sources are typically curated with care and provide well-researched recommendations. Reading serious travel books about Paris is highly recommended as a foundation before planning your trip.

Travel and History Channels

Watch high-quality documentaries and replays on cable TV, created by skilled journalists and expert historians. These programs offer insightful overviews of France’s and Paris’s cultural landscape. In addition to your original interests, you can discover topics that truly resonate with you. These documentaries are exceptionally well-produced, presenting factual information.

Library

Step into a library and immerse yourself in a world of high-quality books written by respected historians and seasoned travel writers. Whether you’re diving into topics you already love or simply browsing the shelves, libraries offer a unique opportunity to explore without distraction. Free from advertising, algorithms, or sales pressure, this is a space where learning is genuine and curiosity is rewarded.
